Recently, Kelso-Burnett Co. completed the interior build-out of Ernst & Young’s new LEED Gold Certified office space on floors 20-26 of the 46-story office tower located at 155 N. Wacker Drive in Chicago, Illinois. Kelso-Burnett Co. completed various electrical installations to the seven-floor, 191,000 square-foot office build-out. The Kelso-Burnett Co. team, consisting of 35 electricians during the peak of construction, installed over 3,300 light fixtures, over 200 occupancy sensors, and a state-of-the-art Crestron Lighting Control System that utilizes daylight harvesting.

Additionally, Kelso-Burnett Co. exceeded the requested 37% Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) and/or Women Business Enterprises (WBE) participation requirement by meeting a 40% MBE/WBE project participation. Overall, the entire project took 17,500 man-hours to complete within a five-month schedule. The short project delivery schedule produced extreme challenges and commitments from all of the trades involved, but the project was delivered on schedule and under budget.
